OPENING OF THE GENOCIDE MUSEUM IN ODESSA

Abstract

On May 29, 2024, an important event took place in the museum life of Odessa and Ukraine as a whole: a new Museum was opened - the Genocide Museum "Territory of Memory" - a cultural and historical location designed to convey the truth about the crimes of genocide, "committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group", as well as to provide an opportunity to see the consequences of these terrible crimes in all regions and on all continents. The uniqueness of the Museum is that for the first time the nature of genocide as a "crime of crimes" is shown.
